Court Librarians
The AIJA is a national body representing all constituencies of Australasia's judicial system. Independent of government or other external influences, the AIJA is dedicated to achieving practical reform in the administration of justice in all jurisdictions.
How Court Librarians benefit from Membership of the AIJA
General conference program
Our general conference program provides regular forums for court librarians to exchange ideas and experiences with other professionals working in the justice system. Conferences focusing on important themes such as the reform of the criminal justice system and the role of the courts in a representative democracy play an important part in enhancing the administration of justice in Australia.
Research and information
Ongoing research undertaken by the AIJA enables court librarians to access a wide range of specialist reports on issues directly relating to the work of the jurisdictions they serve. The AIJA's centralised database is an invaluable complement to the research program.
